It's a lovely sunny Southern California day, going for a local hike right now. Moose and Bear in tow. Bear is always weight challenged. I try to tell myself he's just fluffy but when I had him shaved for the summer heat last year..... well, it was clear that Bear's not just fluffy, lol.
I saw the movie 'Marley and Me' last night, I thought it was just going to be hilarious, which it was but I so did not expect to end up crying my eyes out in the end, not fair.

It explains some things that are hard to put into words about Hawaii. I met Abercrombie in Hawaii, the cutest little politician you ever saw too, just so ya know. He's like a cross between Santa and Robin Williams, he truly has a twinkle in his eye. Cool that he knew both of the president's parents before the president was even born.
It was a trying year, 2008, loss and uncertainty at times for me but also filled with many great gifts, and huge personal growth. I will remember it well. And mostly smile.
Let this year, 2009 be one of deep gratitude to God for the love in our lives and the opportunities unfolding before us.
