Okay, I meant to write this before my birthday in January so I someone could make my wish come true for a present. But then at the begining of the year I was so deep into a writing deadline, I barely had time to celebrate my birthday.
Anyway.... In 2006 in Santa Barbara my guitar was stolen and I want it back. NOW!
I bought a wonderful used dreadnought with an awesome sound but I still want my baby back! It was a 2000 Taylor 814-ce with a custom smaller neck (little hands) and I wrote so many of my songs on it.
I never really "saw" myself as being someone who gets stolen from. I still don't. But some jerk face still did it.
I had played the after party for WeSparks celebrity golf tournament and had left it in the lobby in it's case while all of us partied out on the patio until the wee hours of the night.
Just so you know, Ryan Stiles can be so shy but at that yearly event, he is a one man silly frat tricks show out on the patio. It's always just the funnest time to reconnect with everyone and make new friends too.
But that year, I partied too late (not a big drinker, just lots of FUN) and was thinking that my guitar had already been packed back to my room with my other gear... and a couple hours later when it dawned on me... gone.
That guitar had my DNA all over it. A guitar is so personal, it's really creepy that someone could do this.
And the hotel manager was just rude. I still think hotel staff were involved.
But all that aside.... I just want my baby back. NOW.
It's been too long, I don't even want to think what she's been through.
She's registered as stolen by Taylor guitars.... where is she?
I want my baby back!
